PRIVACY / ANALYTICS

Useful signals.
Clear boundaries.

I use analytics to understand whether the site works: which pages are useful, where a world loads slowly, and which interactions fail.

Always-on performance measurement

Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and real-user performance, including Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, and Cumulative Layout Shift. Cloudflare describes this service as cookie-free and says it does not fingerprint visitors or use their personal data.

Optional product analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics,” PostHog can measure pages, clicks, scroll depth, session duration, device and browser class, region, errors, network timing, and Core Web Vitals. Session replay rebuilds page interactions; it is configured to mask every input and block video and elements marked private.

The analytics service receives the request IP address. It may use it for approximate geography, abuse protection, and session integrity. An IP address cannot reliably identify a person by name. I do not join anonymous visits to purchased identity data or advertising profiles.

What stays out

Form values, email addresses, camera previews, microphone data, and the contents of private elements are excluded from replay. Analytics are for improving this site, not advertising.

Your choice

Your optional analytics choice is stored in this browser. Clear site data for prasanna.id to reset it. You can also use browser tracking protection or content blockers.
